12 Photos to Inspire You to Visit Bali

Bali was the first destination I traveled to completely solo. This country is full of jaw-dropping sunsets, lush rainforests, and curious creatures. Check out some of my favorite pictures from the trip.

Bali is the perfect solo travel destination

I had a lot of ground to cover in just 10 days in this beautiful country. I took a page out of Eat Pray Love and spent 5 lazy days in central Bali. Ubud is the spiritual hub of bali and so there are tons of yoga studios, vegan restaurants, and instagram-able coffee shops. I loved stuffing my face with vegan food and taking long walks through the surrounding rice fields.

I hired a driver one day who took me to an incredible waterfall, rice terraces, and a Kopi luwak coffee farm.

In Seminyak I spent every day on the beach. Potato Heads is a beachfront club in Seminyak that I frequented with some Aussie girls I met in the hostel. They have an infinity pool right in front of the beach and multiple levels of dining. If you don’t feel like getting out of the water to get your booze on they have a swim-up bar in the infinity pool. I met tons of other people traveling solo there and had an amazing time!

Ten days just was not enough to see everything I wanted to in Bali but that’s just an excuse to go back someday!

Great post! Bali is definitely on my dream list, and it’s nice to hear it’s a great place to solo travel. Did you find it slightly nerve-wracking to travel solo?

I actually loved traveling solo! Bali was a great place to do it for the first time because it was fairly safe and English is very common.
